Belgium defeated the Netherlands (61-36) to advance to the Quarter Finals at the European Championship in Celje, Slovenia. Sofia Ouahabi led the way with 19 points and Serena-Lynn Geldof had another big game on both ends of the floor, contributing 15 points, 9 rebounds, 3 steals and 4 blocks.

Netherlands, who played without injured Janis Ndiba, stayed in the game thoughout the most of the first 3 quarters, trailing only by 4 points halfway in the 3rd quarter. Belgium then went on a 28-7 run to end the game and claim the 3rd spot in Group F, which gives them a well-deserved spot with the Last 8.

Joining Belgium in the Quarter Finals are Czech Republic, Slovenia, Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy and Russia. Belgium will take on last years bronze medalist Spain on Friday at 16h15.
