The U16 Girls reached the Second Round at the European Championships in Matosinhos, Portugal. With only 1 win in 3 games so far, they will face a very heavy task in order to survive the Second Round and make it into the tournaments Top 8.

The squad of head coach Pierre Cornia will play against Hungary, Latvia and Spain on 17, 18 and 19/08, but are starting the second group phase with 0 wins and 2 losses (carrying the losses from the first round into the second round). If the Belgian team manages to reach top 4 in group F, they are certain of a Top 8 place. If not, they will have to play Qualification Games for places 9-16.

The last 3 teams will be relocated to the B-division next year.
